Our Flix Treats are only Flaxseed treats! We add no other ingredients to these treats. They are Cold-Pressed into the treat and are bound by Flax Oils within the treat.

How do you keep the treats from going rancid?

We cold-press our flaxseed, which heats the product to inactivate the Cyanogens but doesn’t heat the product too much in order to keep the omega-3 fatty acids intact. This helps to greatly slow the oxidation process down. We have run extensive analyses on the flax cake ensure that the flaxseed treats are still providing the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids for your horse for months after it has been opened. This along with the bag that seals help to ensure the quality of the product.
